A person, identified as Shafiq, was beaten by traffic wardens at PIDC area after he tried to park his motorcycle in a no parking area. Speaking to media persons, Shafiq said: "The scuffle broke out when I objected to the traffic wardens' move of shifting only my motorcycle. Three traffic wardens hit helmet on my head. I also retaliated by kicking and punching them."

On the other hand, a traffic warden said: "The man used foul language and hit me with his helmet, after which other officers intervened." The man had reportedly parked his motorcycle in a no parking zone outside a bank in the PIDC area, which the traffic wardens said was a senior police officer's parking spot. The man was taken into police custody for violation of law and causing harm to traffic wardens. Later, he was released on personal bail after the matter was highlighted on media.
